The project that secured this award is a living commitment to the land and the community of the Aegean. Aiming to transform the cotton supply chain starting directly from the farm, this work is not just a trend for the textile industry—it is an essential undertaking.
This award celebrates the vital, on-the-ground work carried out by our team every day:
- Soil Health Focus: Actively taking care of the soil of the Aegean region through the application of regenerative organic cotton cultivation methods.
- Data and Climate Action: Gathering crucial data on cotton cultivation, specifically measuring and documenting carbon sequestration in the soil using regenerative organic practices, demonstrating that agriculture can be a powerful climate solution.
- Farmer Education and Awareness: Working intensively on the education of local farmers to transition to and master regenerative organic practices and providing them with technical support.
- Direct Connection: Connecting these dedicated farmers directly with fashion brands, establishing a transparent and fair value chain right at the source.
