At Egedeniz Textile, our belief in sustainability extends beyond production. It’s about nurturing the next generation of conscientious citizens through direct action and fabric scraps education. The global textile industry grapples with the issue of fabric scraps and waste filling up landfills. This reality makes our commitment to social and environmental projects even more vital. Therefore, we are constantly seeking innovative ways to keep our materials in use.
Our recent partnership with Bir Demet Sevgi Anaokulu in Urla, İzmir, is a shining example. We didn’t let our beautiful leftover organic fabrics become waste. Instead, they served as the ultimate teaching tool for creative young minds!
Why Fabric Scraps Education Matters
As part of our ESG initiatives, we provided the school with various textile remnants. Indeed, the children didn’t just play. They participated in a powerful, hands-on lesson about resourcefulness and giving materials a second life.
In these wonderful photos, you see the students actively engaged in cutting and collaging. Specifically, they are transforming fabric scraps into art. This seemingly small activity achieves a profound goal: bringing textile awareness from a young age.

We firmly believe that utilizing leftovers for good is the best kind of environmental action. By turning our fabric remnants into a creative project, we instill in children the valuable idea that materials always deserve to be reused.
